Outdoor Screen Shades
Today, it is about 100 degrees in Texas, and we just installed some awesome outdoor Screen Shades on a patio in the Horseshoe Bay area. The house is sandstone, with rustic beams (authentically reclaimed) and herringbone brick on the floor of the porch. Our Apricot Bronze Screen shades were just the ticket so the homeowner could enjoy his lovely view of the golf course, and his water feature, without melting from the direct sun! For further efficiency, we installed some Hunter Douglas Architella Meritage Shades in the guest Casita, with the cool new UltraGlide lift system. Now, he says , his company may never leave!

Workroom Association of America Listing
I am so excited, just attended a webinar with our Workroom Association, and we will be advertising our directory in Southern Living this month. This will give us the opportunity to post photos of our work, as well as testimonials and so much more to the directory, and it will be available for our potential clients to view. In conjunction with our website and photo gallery, this will give our clients a full picture of what we have to offer, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
Our e newsletter on outdoor living areas was very well received, and has resulted in lots of interest in this new area of drapery we are offering our clients. Although we have done them for years, the current added interest in outdoor living areas has heightened the demand, and the lovely Sunbrella fabrics now available make them more desirable than ever.
Until next time....

It has been a while, but check out what we have been doing!
I haven't posted in a while, but have been having fun with our new photo software. Please enjoy the slideshow of outdoor living areas, we have done motorized outdoor screen shades, they are so wonderful.
One of our clients had a beautful outdoor living area overlooking Lake LBJ, but could not enjoy it in the afternoon, the sun was so strong. So, we put up a motorized shade, very easily as he had a receptacle handy. He liked it much, we came back two weeks later and added another one over a kitchen window. They had some artwork in the house, and the sun was streaming in through this window and they knew it would damage the artwork, as well as their hardwood floors!
Also, we have been doing lots of Sunbrella cushions, getting folks outdoor furniture ready for summer. Sunbrella drapery are the hottest thing going right now, and we just got in a line of outdoor drapery hardware, so, let the fun begin!
Until next time, curtains UP!

We are Back!
I just returned from an adventure in Lajitas, Texas. This is in Big Bend country, and it was awesome. My first time, and I enjoyed it. We have been running ever since our return Tuesday night.
Dawn and I did a Presentation for the Women's Council of Realtors Wednesday, on the energy efficiency of our Architella window coverings, and gave some cool silk embroidered pillows for door prizes. I hope the ladies enjoyed it, as we did.
Today, I finished the installation of a project in the Blue Lake area of Horseshoe Bay. Pictures will be posted to the website soon. Beautiful wood stain shutters, goblet pleated drapery on some of the new Kirsch wood poles in great new colors. A playful yellow, white and black ensemble of roman shades and banded white/yellow/and black microcorded drapery on a Sandblasted black wood pole, another new Kirsch finial style and color. Glimmer in a bronze/khaki color drapery on a custom stained Traverse rod overlooking a gorgeous view! It was all stunning, and so much fun.

Hunter Douglas Priority Dealer
We just got an email from the head of Hunter Douglas with the news that effective June 1, 2010, Hunter Douglas will no longer be selling their product via the internet channels. That is great news to us, as a Priority Dealer, because we, as a trained dealer will be able to offer our clients the full range of products. As a Priority Dealer, we are required to attend 2 training sessions per year to view the new products. In addition to that, we purchase and display samples of all the products so our clients can see and touch the products, different lift systems, etc.
We are pleased to support their decision and will support them by inviting our clients to visit our showrooms and see the difference a quality, full warranteed product can make in their lives.

Bluebonnets are out!
The bluebonnets are out, in all their glory. Welcome spring, everyone is getting ready for summer.
We are doing lots of Sunbrella cushions, and pillows, getting folks outdoor furniture ready for a fun summer. We now do embroidery, so I have done some Monograms on sunbrella pillows. We also have some very cool new designer buttons I can't wait to try on some pillows. Buttons are my favorite accent on pillows, they give such a great look and texture to pillows.
We have new photos posted on our website, also have refreshed the site with new information, and helpful links. Please let us know how you like it.

A new month ..,.
Well, spring is just around the corner. We are working on outdoor cushions and pillows for two clients. Sunbrella fabric is the wonderful fabric that goes indoors or out, and now is the time to get that outdoor furniture ready for a fun summer. We just received our new Sunbrella portfolio with the season's latest offerings, and there are some lovely new fabrics. Colors are soft, or bright, whichever you prefer. Something sure to please everyone.
The rain will stop, soon, and the sun will reappear! Until next time....

Happy New Year!
Wow, great holiday season and great to get back to work! We took a week off and spent time with our families, and enjoyed it immensely! We are finally in our new Marble Falls Showroom, and taking down the Christmas decorations, and putting on the last stages of "Lipstick a nd Rouge" in order to get ready for our Open House, Ribbon Cutting and Radio remote, which is scheduled for January 21. I hope all our friends and neighbors can come by and visit us.. We plan on having food and fun!
Looking back over 2009, I would like to reflect on some of my favorite projects. Although they are all my favorites(!) a few stand out.
A ranch in Mason, lots of silk, motorized roman shades, cornices with hand crocheted inserts, even a few crystal buttons! Pictures will follow, we have one more trip to make when her cabinet maker is finished with shelves, we will install the last installment of the project.
A lovely Barton Creek home in Austin, a 3 time repeat client who loves the over the top, yet classic treatments. This wonderful client had a home in Horseshoe Bay that we had the privilege of helping her with, lots of those photos are on the website already. A year ago or so, she moved to Austin and we installed woven wood shades on the windows for privacy. Then, in 2009 we completed the project with silk goblet pleat drapery, cornices, custom finished drapery hardware, custom shower curtains, table covers and accessories. Her photos will be posted on the website soon.
We will be updating our website soon also, with fresh new content, new pictures and a more interactive feel. Also, a drapery hardware website will be available for the D I Y'er.
2010 is on track to be a great year! Stay tuned, and please, sign up for our enewsletter to be notified of all our activities.
