Well this past weekend was spent, taking out the cultured marble vanity tops in both bathrooms, and the laminate countertops in the kitchen, taking the wood to acclimate and meeting the air conditioning repair guy, as the a/c froze up . Working too hard in the Texas heat, I guess!
Selecting window coverings from some discount coupons I had will allow us to do some very expensive window treatments for a great price! Since there is a large window in the Living room and a sliding door, that is a great encouragement.
Found some great light fixtures for the foyer and dining room on sale, can't wait to get them installed.
The wood flooring installer started Monday and tonight, Tuesday , he was abou 60% finished. Looks sooo goood.

Granite Time
Today, Monday, between installing some drapery in Georgetown and preparing to move the Burnet store, I will be going to the granite place to pick out granite for our latest transformation. Hope he has some good remnants for the bath vanities. If so, hoping to get installed this week after the painting is finished and before the wood flooring goes in next week. A quick purchase of sinks for the hole cutouts would be required, more to come....

Paint, Moving and other things
All projects are in full force now. The wood flooring has been ordered and installation scheduled in one week.The ceilings are primed and painted, walls are being done at this writing. Next week, pick out granite, etc. Our wonderful crews of painters have done two other projects as well, one finished today in Barton Creek in Austin, the other in downtown Austin on Saturday.
The consolidation and move of our warehouse from Burnet to Marble Falls continues. Our son Matt was here to help all week, and we got the first two loads in the new space Thursday and Friday. Lots of work, 3 dumpster loads of stuff out already, and still going! It feels great to get rid of accumulation, even if it is 102 degrees out!!

Popcorn, anyone??
The popcorn came down over the weekend at our latest transformation project. Now for texturing the ceilings, some wall repair and painting this week. Colors have been selected for the walls, granite tentatively picked, went searching for sinks, lighting, etc over the weekend. Moving right along...
On our new store location, we signed the lease on the additional workroom space Friday, hope to sign on the warehouse Monday or Tuesday. Saturday was a good day, filled the dumpster in our Burnet store with lots of unnecessary paperwork, etc. I may never have to buy file folders again, we emptied out so many that were not being used... With online searches, keeping file folders of potential vendors is totally useless, I found..

Tomorrow . Closing Moving and other things
Thursday we close on our latest transformation project. Friday we will be there , making plans , picking colors, granite , etc. Saturday, demo begins.
We have also decided to consolidate our two stores into one location. As Marble Falls is a more central location, it was the natural fit. Our new office there has an empty suite next door, we are in process of locating warehouse space now. The workroom and business office will be next to our showroom, the warehouse we are looking at is about 5 minutes from there. Perfect solution, now to sorting through 20+ years of accumulation. It will not be pretty, especially in the hot Texas summer. Projected move date would be from 7-15 through 7-30. Get the idea! Hottest time of the year... Oh well, it will be so nice to have everything under one roof, it will be worth it....in October maybe!!
